How to Pose Elegantly
July 11, 2016
I have a lot of admiration for the Dutchess of Cambridge. She is beautiful, has impeccable style and seems a very down to earth kind of person. She is also one of my style icons because she is always very classy and fresh.
The other day I was thinking of an article that I read somewhere about how girls are causing damage to their bodies (??) by posing with one foot slightly crossed over the other. Honestly I think that’s a lot of nonsense. It’s just a pose. No one goes around doing that all the time.
Then tonight I stumbled upon this slideshow on Harper’s Bazaar about the most fashionable outfits worn by the Dutchess. As I saw all these beautiful photos one after the other, I noticed the way she is always holding her hands elegantly in front of her. It’s very flattering actually. Also, the pictures capture the way she moves in this very gracious manner.
There are so many times when I have been wondering what would be the best way or rather the most elegant/classy way to place your hands; hang them at your sides, put them in your pockets, cross them over… And thinking about the body language I am reflecting when doing that.
I think I found my to-go position for my hands.
Here are my favourite pictures of the Dutchess from the Harper’s Bazaar article. I love her outfits, and my favourite is the bright lemon and white dress by Roksada.
